WASHINGTON -- Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is expected to appear Sunday on CNN’s "Late Edition" to discuss President-elect Barack Obama’s victory in Nevada and issues in the U.S. Senate.

Reid is likely to talk about the situation with Connecticut Sen. Joe Lieberman, the Independent Democrat who has fallen out of favor with Democrats for his support of Republican presidential nominee John McCain. Reid and Lieberman are in talks about the senator’s status as a committee chairman and his association with the party.

Reid is also expected to discuss longtime West Virginia Sen. Robert Byrd’s decision today to step down as chairman of the powerful Appropriations Committee.
