What do Nevada and Florida have in common?
Not just cheesy architecture.
The Nevada and Florida Republican Parties are holding a joint fundraiser to
honor Florida Governor Charlie Crist.
Where? Where else. The Venetian, Saturday, June 14, 2008 5:00 p.m.
Minimum Suggested Contribution: $2,500 Per Person, with half to Nevada GOP, half to Florida GOP.
An odd arrangement, but it makes sense that with every Republican pol in the country trying to get inside a ballroom at the Venetian to raise money -- owner Sheldon Adelson is one of the biggest Republican givers in the country -- that the Nevada GOP would start demanding a gatekeeper/finder's fee.
