Sen. Hillary Clinton responds to the ruling on at-large caucus sites

“Nevadans have the opportunity to play a special role in the nominating process on Saturday, and we are thrilled with the energy and support we are seeing across the state. It is clear that Nevadans are excited about participating in this process.

“While we were not involved in this lawsuit, and have always said that we would play by the rules that we’re given, it has always been our hope that every Nevadan should have equal access and opportunity to participate in the caucus.

“Make no mistake --the current system that inhibits some shift workers from being able to participate, while allowing others to do so, would seem to benefit other campaigns. More importantly it is unfair. We also are concerned with recent news reports about voter intimidation tactics that would further discourage some Nevadans from participating on Saturday.

“Our strategy remains the same — we want as many people as possible to participate in the caucus, and we are going to reach out to as many Nevadans as possible in an effort to do as well as possible on Saturday. The Obama campaign has been clear in its belief that whoever wins the culinary union endorsement will win Nevada. We will leave it up to the people of Nevada to make that decision.”

  1. Despite protests to the contrary, Saint Obama the Uniter has actively sought an opportunity to inject race into the 2008 campaign leading into the South Carolina primaries. He couldn't find it, so they first went with "fairy tale" being racist to describe one of Obama's positions. Hardly racist. Then his campaign picked up on Clinton’s MLK comment and misinterpreted it. He needed to trick and incite African Americans, while distancing himself enough personally so as not to be obvious to whites, Hispanics and others.

    Obama is a con man.

He needs to keep in mind, however, that if the race is held out as a reason to vote FOR someone, it must also be a valid reason to vote AGAINST someone. He can't have it both ways. I hope his disgusting race games ultimately crash his campaign.

  2. Hillary tried to disenfranchize voters and it did not work. Dirty politics at play. I hope it backfires with an overwhelming majority for Obama in the caucuses. People need to wake up and see we need Change we can believe in with Obama.

  3. IM A UNION MEMBER,AND IM VOTING FOR HILLARY CLINTON.DONT WANT OBAMAS SMACKDOWN CHICAGO POLITICS.

  4. Change we can believe in with Obama. Not the same old status quo, dirty politics, and flip-flopping lies. Our children deserve than this.

  6. For Clinton, it always reverts to power and politics if it favors her. She is for the people when it favors her, but got wealthy and traveled on the corporate jet when she served six years on the Wal-Mart board. How can it be conceivable that any Union could support someone who served on Wal-Mart’s board? More concerning is the disrespect of the democratic process when it favors her. Before she lost the Culinary Union endorsement, the idea of at large caucuses were fine. When she lost the endorsement, she decides to undertake a George Bush and disenfranchise the very workers that she claims to champion. You can mess with a lot, but a true believer in Democracy never protects the process even against personal interest.

  8. BARACK OBAMA LIED TO NEVADA:

CLICK HERE TO FIND OUT HOW!

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L2P0sGcy1...

  9. Hillary Clinton is going on with her bla bla blah!
The Clinton should no ruin the democrat chance to gain the Whitehouse! Americans will not go for the Clintons. They have had their 8 years and left us all kind of shameful memories. The Clintons don't own the Democratic Party.

  10. Obama is the loser out of this. If he "wins" it is because the union stuffed the caucus balloting and the result will have no credibility. If he "loses" then it suggests he couldn't even win with the union's tactics. Either way, he loses.

  11. I find it interesting that the Clintons have to continually 'speak' on every action in the race. Why? In this case as in most, they have started something that got them into a rut or into the mud. Now, the rest of us have to hear the tireless backtracking, excuses, and spin to make up for their mistakes to begin with. Regardless of the plan arranged for the Democratic caucuses, these decisions were made a long time ago. If those who were responsible for knowing how they worked (Teachers union) or others didn't look closely or didn't figure out the so-called harm it would cause, they are too late now. You would either say they were irresponsible for which their membership should be concerned or they really are the minions of the Clintons, which we know they are, not only by those who filed the lawsuit but Bill's all of a sudden passion for justice on the matter. Hey Bill, 'give me a break'!

And for the voters, feel glad that you didn't lose your right to caucus and if you are part of a union, you usually vote the union. And for those who are not voting their union, all of a sudden you're in the role of union busters. Another leadership move on the part of the Clintons. Good stuff Bill/Hill!

  12. Matthew, the Clintons consider Nevada one of their top five supported states. Obama is not strong in Nevada. People will really need to come out and caucus for Obama. He will be a winner regardless if he does not carry the entire state as long as he gets the delegates needed out of Nevada. YES WE CAN!!! Caucus for OBAMA.

  13. There is a connection between the supporters of the lawsuit and the Clinton campaign:

"However, the Clinton campaign has clear connections to the lawsuit. The NSEA is employing a law firm—Kummer, Kaempfer, Bonner, Renshaw and Ferrario—that has close ties to the New York senator. An attorney at the firm, former Nevada Democratic congressman James H. Bilbray, has endorsed Clinton and is campaigning for her in the state. Also, NSEA Deputy Executive Director Debbie Cahill was a founding member of Clinton’s Nevada Women’s Leadership Council."

This is not the first time the Clinton Campaign has tried to deny voters their rights, it also happened in IOWA:

"Hillary Clinton and Chris Dodd are wrong to discourage out-of-state students from choosing Iowa as their place to legally vote simply because student support for Barack Obama is so high. It is right for us to be recognized as residents of Iowa for coming to school here rather than going elsewhere. We live here in Iowa for at least nine months of the year. We are involved in volunteer efforts, political organizations, professional societies and social clubs here and may also hold jobs here to help offset high tuition costs. We support businesses in our college towns and other Iowa locales, we pay Iowa taxes on all our purchases and earnings here, and we do our banking here because it is more convenient and efficient. As ISU students get to know the campus and Ames community, we come to think of Iowa State as our home."

  14. someone said it sbove - the Clintons start the trouble - they pit people against each other = and they watch from the sidelines

The last sentence of Hillary's statement tells it all - Hillary Clinton champion of labor and unions and racial equality is telling members of the the union that did not endorse her to ignore their leadership -- thayt same leadership that this year won its members the most lucrative contract of any Nevada union

Even the Clinton supporters cannot in their wildest dreams think that if the CW has endorsed Sen Clinton - that any of this would be going on or said --

Senator Obama has plenty of chances to slam Hillary at the debate - the moderators served up questions practically begging Obama to go after her

He did not take the bait and stayed above - this may have resulted in a boring debate but if Obama is going to set a new civil tone in politics- he is showing the rest of us - it can be done -- even at risk to his own campaign

The Obama's want to win - but how they win matters to

Can you say that about Bill and Hillary Clinton?(with a straight face??)

    Obama '08

  15. YES,OBAMA IS THE LOSER.HE IS A ROOKIE.WE NEED EXPERIENCE.WE NEED HILLARY CLINTON.

  16. Matthew,

Clinton claimed that she is the candidate with 35 years of experience. She knew about the rules of NV caucuses months ago. Why did she not use her experience to adjust the rules because of her so called love for the American people?

Hillary waited hoping that she will get the Culinary, but when things did not go her way, she start crying faults.

This is exactly why many of us say that Clinton does not have the best judgment.

Obama has a far better judgment. This whole thing show that the Clintons care only about power and themselves.

  17. What "experience" does Hillary Clinton have? For the eight years she lived in the White House, she didn't even have a security clearance. Living in the White House does not qualify one to be President of the United States.

  18. Before you believe that the Clintons didn't have anything to do with the lawsuit, take a listen at Bill Clinton saying he did not have sexual relations with Monica Lewisnky.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KiIP_KDQm...

Or Bill Clinton saying he opposed the war in Iraq in the beginning.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IcxsxJLT2...

These people think about no one but themselves - except when they're seeking people's votes. And they will say anything to get elected. You're in a pipe dream if yoiu think Hillary can win the presidency. But let's use facts - what data from the Iowa and NH results give any clue that Hillary is electable?

  19. As the old Joe Cocker song says:

    "Cry me a River"

Give it up Clinton. Had you won the nomination, you wouldn't be whining.

  20. Well there's nasty Nikki again.
Doesn't this obviously transparent attempt by the Clintons to limit the effectiveness of the at-large precincts speak to a much larger question about her: if she lacked the basic foresight to see that this amatuerish lawsuit was doomed from the get-go, how will she be able to see threats to our nation, trends in our economy, and legislative trends? This was a poorly thought-out move that could achieve nothing but disenfranchising a block of voters from whom she could have culled some significant support. Ya gotta wonder how she would do with, say, the U.N. if this is her bludgeon-oriented style. Face it: the First Lady's office is a long way from the Oval Office and she seems hell-bent on demonstrating the width of that divide.
    "Help us Obi Wan!"

  21. I don't care who is behind the lawsuit, who agreed to what back in March, or what the court said today.

None of that is relevant to me. For me, as an American seeing this caucus process in detail for the first time, the issue is whether there is any merit to the claim that some voters are getting extra "help" accessing the caucus which other voters are not getting, and whether some votes will be disproportionately counted.

I am also concerned that the integrity of the Democratic process be protected. If there are claims of intimidation against ANY union, they should be investigated by outside parties. Also, because some of the culinary workers will presumably be caucusing at their work sites, the public nature of the caucus (vs. a private vote) is problematic. I'm curious as to whether neutral 3rd parties are monitoring this process.

  22. Hillary leading Bam Bam Hussein Obama +9% in NV.

  23. Polls Schmolls Girly-Girl.

It's disgusting that the Clinton machine couldn't accept that they WERE NOT ENDORSED by the Culinary Union.

Is Rove trying to give her pointers on the side?

Lord knows the Republicans want her to win.

    Barack Obama/Jim Webb '08

  24. The Union made it clear they would endorse Edwards or Hussein Obama in the very beginning.

    Edwards supporters know the deal.

Your Hussein played the race card to sway voters, now he is using intimidation tactics to sway the voters.

We'll see how that plays out on Saturday.

    Say no to Obama!

    Hillary/Edwards/or Republican 08

  25. "CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN"

Is anyone else worried about the worshipful religious following of Obama? He talks more real, inspirational, and gracefully then any leader since the 1960's.

I think it's great and maybe he is for real.

    BUT AMERICA= REALITY CHECK PLEASE

Obama is a sincerly needed social movement, not a pragmatic get it done war time president. If america is more impressed by narcisistic charm and charmisma then hard work and pragmatism (Hillary) then we deserve what we get.

    OBAMA= CARTER PART 2

    VOTE HILLARY 2008

  26. I hope you saw today's The New York Times.
    January 17, 2004
    http://www.nytimes.com/2008/01/17/opinio...

"After watching the subject of race intrude on the primaries last week, and become even more prominent this week, we were relieved that Senators Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama called a truce Tuesday night.

It was clearly her side that first stoked the race and gender issue."

Hillary is betting on the fact that white women can be made to fear black men in softer tones than yelling for help from the sisterhood. And Hillary is also praying Latino voters won't understand what her campaign was trying to pull in Nevada this week.

A favorite quote of this morning so far...

"You know, if someone was married to a surgeon for years, would you consider them qualified to cut you open? Then why does she think being married to a president makes her presidential material?"

  27. worshipful religious = Huckabee

    believe in/inspired = Obama

    there is a difference

  28. I'm worried jenreno,

Obama was not brought up to follow any religion, although his African grandfather and Indonesian stepfather were Muslim. He became a Christian as a community organiser in Chicago and in the late 1980s joined the Trinity United Church of Christ, an African-American mega-church with an 8,000-strong congregation.
The same southern voter, who did not wish to be named, then threw another piece of Obama’s biography into the frame. “I looked at his church’s website. It said it was ‘unashamedly black’. They don’t want any whites there. I wouldn’t feel real comfortable if I tried to worship there.”
The unorthodox pastor of Trinity church is the Reverend Jeremiah Wright, who is refusing all interviews. He married Barack and Michelle Obama and baptised their two daughters. He is already attracting attention on right-wing websites for describing the September 11 attacks as a “wake-up call” to America for ignoring the concerns of “people of colour”, and for claiming that Americans “believe in white supremacy and black inferiority . . . more than we believe in God”.
Wright said the Palestinians are the most oppressed people on earth and likens Israelis to Nazi occupiers.
Wright travelled to meet Muammar Gadaffi, the Libyan leader, in the 1980s with Louis Farrakhan, the black supremacist leader of the Nation of Islam, and subscribes to the “Black Values System”, which preaches self-reliance but claims “middle-classness” is ensnaring blacks.
“When [Obama’s] enemies find out that in 1984 I went to Tripoli to visit Colonel Gadaffi with Farrakhan, a lot of his Jewish support will dry up quicker than a snowball in hell,” Wright once said.

The other potential threat to Obama comes from the indictment of one of his leading donors, Antoin “Tony” Rezko, a Syrian-born property developer in Chicago, who is accused of extortion.

Rezko has been indicted by Patrick Fitzgerald - the prosecutor who brought down the White House official Lewis “Scooter” Libby and the press magnate Conrad Black - for seeking millions of dollars in kickbacks from companies bidding for state business in Illinois. He is due to appear in court on February 24.

  29. Hillary and her campaign are doing their best to use fear, the fear of the word "race" to manipulate our feelings. And she also sprinkles on a few lawsuits designed to suppress hard-working Union member votes. And she's doing it because if people knew who Barack really was, how he lived his life serving the poor and elderly from a very young age, how he has spent his life in the state Senate, and the US senate, fighting corruption at every stage, Americans would understand why we must support him for president. He has a true love of the American people, black, white Latino, and in between. They are trying to portray him as a race baiter, but we all know Barack has never done any such thing. he truly loves this country and it's people. Do you know how much work he did in communities for the poor and elderly, how he created health care as a senator for kids who couldn't get Medicaid. Do you have any idea the kind of Heart Obama has? Hillary does, and that's why she's trying to destroy him in the ugliest ways she can.

Time Magazine has written the one true portrait of Obama's political experience, and have challenged all the lies put out by Hillary and her dishonest campaign machine.

Your eyes will be opened. I promise -- http://www.time.com/time/nation/article/......

  30. Girly_Girl

Whether you realize it or not your comment "Hillary leading Bam Bam Hussein Obama +9% in NV." is a very anti-semetic comment. Do you have any cute names for some Jews or Latinos or Asians too? RachelB would really get a kick out of some cute terms for Jews.

Whether someone's background is semetic (which means arab), or native american, or a different race than white should mean nothing. We are one people and should be just as proud of our unity as one people as of the the diverse origins that got us here.

It may be politically expedient to pit race against race and union against union as the Clintons do but it's not something to be proud of.

  31. Girly_girl is one of the biggest proponents of change. We are going to change from narrow minded bigoted liars like that to a future we can BELIEVE in!

    Obama '08!!

  32. tomdc,

She is spamming those articles in just about every article here, regardless of what the topic is.

Must be a sad and lonely woman to be THAT negative towards any person.

  33. I quote "Barack Hussein Obaman...Racist, Muslim, Anti-American, and Inexperienced. Americans need to "wake the hell up" and take a look at this man...this fraud."

This woman works for Hillary's campaign, don't be fooled. And look at how ugly her words are. Hillary encourages this sort of "kill em and destroy em" mentality in her serious campaigners. Hillary has use nothing but lies, fear(the fear of race, just like Girly girl is trying to use) and untruths to distort Obama's record.

But Obama has remained calm and true, and has not sunk to the lows that Hillary and her people have. Use your heart and your common sense when deciding who you will support. Listen to the language her supporters use. Think of all the things Hillary has tried to do--including suing to stop Union members from voting. Hillary is just power hungry, but Obama really loves this country.

Read Time Magazine's article on his life spent in service to those less fortunate, and on his real political experience, he started as an Illinois senator in 1996(4 years before Hillary held any political office). Stand for truth(investigate her lies and don't just accept the lies they throw out). Think and use your heart. We need a president who will be a moral example of what is good in this country. Hillary is not that. She epitomizes all that is corrupt and dishonest in our politics.

    http://www.time.com/time/nation/article/...

  34. Dirty Girly_Girl,

Who cares about Obama home and all your bla bla bla?

You are digging all kind of dirt! You are truly a Clinton girl. May be he will give you one of his cigar!

  35. Here is an interview with Barack Obama today:

""President Clinton now suggests they didn't understand the rules that they designed," said Obama. "This, is coming from the campaign of extraordinary detail and thoroughness and experience," said the Illinois Senator, laughing, in reference to a theme which has been strongly emphasized by the campaign of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton since the two met Tuesday for a Nevada televised debate.

"But somehow, they didn't know what these rules were," Obama said. "Six days before the caucus - two days before I received the endorsement of the Culinary Workers (Union), suddenly these rules are grossly unfair and a violation of 'one person, one vote'. And a lawsuit is filed that would disenfranchise mostly Latino maids, dishwashers, and bellhops from participating in the caucuses."

    link: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cg...

    Let us repeat this part:

" And a lawsuit is filed that would disenfranchise mostly Latino maids, dishwashers, and bellhops from participating in the caucuses."

And who would be behind this disenfranchisement, but :

"former Nevada Democratic congressman James H. Bilbray, has endorsed Clinton and is campaigning for her in the state. Also, NSEA Deputy Executive Director Debbie Cahill was a founding member of Clinton’s Nevada Women’s Leadership Council."

  36. The former North Carolina senator criticized Obama specifically for referring to Ronald Reagan as an agent of change in a newspaper interview. “I would never use Ronald Reagan as an example of change,” Edwards said. “You think about what Ronald Reagan did, to America, the American people, to the middle class, to working people. He was openly, openly intolerant of unions and the right to organize."

“I could promise you this,” Edwards said. “This president will never use Ronald Reagan as an example.”

    -snip-

Later, Edwards called on a woman who complained that the “Eastern media” was acting like he wasn’t in the race. “Please, let the Eastern people know, the reason we’re in the West, the reason we’re doing this caucus, is to not count out people and have a coronation,” she said. “Don’t let them take your voice away cause you’re our voice.”

Edwards responded by saying the coverage is “remarkable.” “We’ve learned, whether it’s in a focus group … or any time I get in front of voters, people respond powerfully to the energy and the passion and the heartfelt ideas that I’m talking about,” he said. “I think you’re right. I think it’s time to call these people on it.”

  37. Barack's middle name is HUSSEIN.

    BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA.

    DEAL!

  38. Indeed, Ms. Sweet, it is not impossible at all. "Obama" is not real. Mr. Obama is a fictional creation of a very talented and very intelligent bunkum artist, Barry (Barack) Obama. From end to end, from start to finish, Barack Obama is an imaginative self-invention.In 2004, Sweet writes today, Obama could not remember the identity of one of the key characters in his book: "I don't remember what Smitty's real name was. I think it was Wally." He wrote a book about events that had taken place a few years earlier, and "forgot" the names of his key characters. So much for Obama's respect for fact checking.Sweet also says that Obama's campaign staffers had to read his book over the past few days to decipher who the "real people" in his book were. They couldn't just ask the candidate. He couldn't tell them. And the man wants to be president? Be real.Let's be brutally honest: If a white man, or a white candidate (Joe Biden, are you listening?) committed a fraud of this magnitude he would be driven out of the presidential race. But the national media ignores Obama's lies as they shamelessly pander to minority pressures. Biden's lies in 1988 (I was there in Iowa when the story broke) are piddling compared to Obama's prevarications. Biden was pilloried, and is still being criticized decades later, and Obama gets a free pass for his lies. And Obama has the nerve to say he is being held to a "higher" standard as a minority candidate. Rubbish. It is time for truth telling, as Barry O likes to say, and it is time for him to tell the truth to the American people and withdraw as a candidate. The Oval Office is no place for affirmative action. We need someone who is a real leader, not a self-imagined leader. Real experience, not imaginary experience, is essential. Joe Biden paid the price for a fictional resume in 1998. It is now long past the time when Obama should have been forced off the national political stage, and sent to Hollywood, where his brilliant fictional talents truly lie. There is no "affirmative action" credit for the White House. There is only one standard, for Black or White. And Obama has embarrassingly fallen short of the minimum standards for our highest office. As I wrote in 2004, long, long ago, "The truth is going to surprise, and disappoint, and outrage many people who were drawn to him." Well, what about it Barry? I mean Barack.[Is it any wonder ContrarianCommentary.com is the fastest growing and most authoritative news and information source for intelligent readers worldwide?]I have previously identified myself in columns as the "man who brought down Obama." He's falling.

  41. Girly_Girl,

    Bla bla blablaH

  42. from the Clinton website:
    http://www.hillaryclinton.com/news/relea...

"Hillary Clinton today received the endorsement of ....Nevada State Education Association (NSEA) Deputy Executive Director Debbie Cahill...
Following the 2003 session of the Nevada Legislature, Cahill was named Deputy Executive Director for NSEA, where she focuses on the association's legal services program, field staff supervision, communications and government relations. "

Get real folks, here is a NSEA Deputy ED with a focus on "legal services program" and someone endorsing Clinton, and this lawsuit gets filed?

and here is a profile of the lawfirm,

    http://www.lawyers.com/Nevada/Las-Vegas/...

"Hon. James H. Bilbray (Of Counsel) born Las Vegas, Nevada, May 19, 1938; admitted to bar, 1965, Nevada and U.S. District Court, District of Nevada; 1968, U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit. "

  43. Okay Girly_Girl, gig is up. Climb back under that Lyndon LaRoche rock you came out from under. (Did I butcher his name? Who cares!)

  44. Hillary's Plan to Jumpstart the Economy

    * Establish a $30 billion Emergency Housing Crisis Fund to assist states and cities mitigate the effects of mounting foreclosures.
    * Take bold action to stem tide of foreclosure, including a 90-day moratorium on subprime foreclosures and an automatic rate freeze on subprime mortgages of at least five years.
    * Provide $25 billion in emergency energy assistance for families facing skyrocketing heating bills.
    * Accelerate $5 billion in energy efficiency and alternative energy investments to jumpstart green collar job growth. <--
    * Invest $10 billion in extending and broadening unemployment insurance for those who are struggling to find work.

She will do every bit of it too and that's just for starters. I know we can count on Hillary the same way Bill did exactly what he said he would do and did it. We have no idea what we would be in for with any of the other lesser candidates. We are in a time where we need dependable, solid, experienced leadership to ensure changes really will be made, effectively and immediately. Hillary is that leadership, no question about it.

  45. LOL. Sure you have no idea about Baracks plan..hmmm..Trying to use the old fear card again? Here's some info:

    Obama's plan would:

Provide an immediate $250 tax cut for workers and their families.

Provide an immediate, temporary $250 bonus to seniors in their Social Security checks.

Provide an additional $250 tax cut to workers and an addit ional $250 to seniors if the economy continues to worsen

Provide relief to homeowners hit by the housing crisis.

Provide aid to states hardest-hit by the housing crisis to avoid a slash in services.

    Extend and expand Unemployment Insurance.

    Want more go to: http://www.barackobama.com/issues/econom...

Hillary does not have good judgement. That makes her leadership less effective. She talks for polls and not for the people and it shows.

  46. A "Goldwater Girl" to the end:

""'The strategy is to help Senator Goldwater by cutting down the vote in large cities in states with many electoral votes.

"'As such, it is an admission to the American people that if all Americans were free to vote they would overwhelmingly elect Lyndon B. Johnson, but if millions of Americans could be prevented from voting, Senator Goldwater might succeed.'

"'Operation Eagle Eye' was publicly established by the Republican National Committee on October 13."

    link: http://www.villagevoice.com/blogs/operat...

  47. Hillary08:

"I know we can count on Hillary the same way Bill did exactly what he said he would do and did it."?

How about those loads and loads of Presidential files that Bill and Hill keep from the public, which would help the public know exactly what role she played in Bill's Presidency?

    what are they hiding?

  48. If you truly support Obama, then spread this article to everyone on your email list, on every blog, and to everyone everywhere. Let his record and his years of selfless service to the American dream speak for itself. Remember, we are only separated from every other person in the world by 6 people. Send it to every American you know. Truth will always trump lies, so don't be afraid. Stand for truth in these dark times and let's take our country back from the elites.

  52. Pretty funny Darryl, nothing wrong with a little humor!

  53. To have a woman sworn in as President of the United States would be such an amazing and beautiful, historic sight. I think the fact that men like Bush have run our country, into the ground, has made this amazing opportunity that we now have before us that much sweeter.

Women have been told to sit down and shut up for too long! It is time for a woman to take charge and show the world she can lead our great nation as good or better as any man. I like Barack Obama, he has a good message, but he is a "dreamer", Hillary is a "doer" and the best woman to come along in our history for the job. There may not be a chance like this again for a long time. Obama is very young still and there is plenty of time for him to learn the ropes and run again in the future. Hillary is ready to lead right away, she already knows exactly what to do and you can't buy or "dream" experience.

Hillary is such a valuable asset to America that we are so very fortunate to have at this moment in time when all of our people so desperately need the kind of caring a woman like her can bring immediately, care we can rely on to be there. The timing could not be more perfect. There is always time for the rest, but right now is Hillary's time, while we still have her. Hillary has my vote all the way!

  54. For Democrats, Obama is the Candidate of Confidence, Clinton the Candidate of Fear

As Democrats debate on this campaign and on the future of our party, the tone among Clinton supporters has come to differ sharply from that of Obama supporters. While Obama supporters exude confidence, excitement, and the will to win, Clinton supporters seem increasingly defensive; increasingly gripped by the fear that, in debating as we are now, we are fragmenting the party and playing into the hands of the Republicans. Clinton supporters cast Obama as a dangerous interloper who threatens to rip the Democratic Party apart, as an irresponsible dreamer, as a pied piper who is leading the children away to certain disaster. His supporters are cast as misguided idealists, as starry-eyed adolescents who need to give up their "false hopes" of something better than politics as usual and face dull, mediocre "reality." Surely our unruly behavior is already putting the Democratic campaign at serious risk. Surely even now the Republicans must be watching and grinning as we divide so that they can conquer. "Shhhh...," we are told by Clintonistas, "Be careful what you say.... The Republicans are licking their lips right now."

I say if they're licking their lips now they'll be eating crow come November. For any Republican who might be tempted to put tongue to lip, think again: I and other Obama supporters will vote for Hillary Clinton in November if she wins the Democratic nomination, as I should expect Clinton supporters will do in kind if Obama is the nominee, because we intend to win. The United States and the world can't stand another four-to-eight years of Republican insanity. Hillary Clinton is not my first choice among Democrats, but she beats any Republican by far. In the meantime, let the debate continue: Debate is, after all, the essence of that clever little Greek idea for which our party is named. We have the advantage; we can afford a healthy debate. With a field of candidates such as ours compared to the assortment of flawed specimens running for the Republican nomination, and with our enthusiasm compared to the mood of bitterness and gloom among Republicans, I'd say it is we Democrats who should be licking our lips.

  55. No Hillary is the candidate of hard work and experience, get it straight. She tells it like it is and that is because she is a realist, that is what experience brings you. It is not a tame world, that is her message, stop smearing to make your point.
