Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards arrived in Las Vegas from Reno this afternoon and was soon greeted by 70 union volunteers at the United Steel Worker’s Union hall in Henderson. It’s the first of three events he has tonight in Vegas.

A campaign official said there were more than 1,000 people at a Reno rally earlier today.

  1. I love John Edwards, but I'm voting for Obama. So many people have no idea the kind of character this man has. American needs Honest Obama in 2008. Our country needs unity and honesty.

Hillary has done nothing but lie and smear this entire campaign. There is only one person who has the right character and experience. Congratulations to Time for having the courage to tell the truth.

  2. Obama will lose to a GOP candidate, virtually any GOP candidate. The GOP will kill him on his youthful drug use, his Afro-centric church, and his general lack of political experience.

Heck, here in flyover land I spend a lot of time explaining to people that he is not Muslim. That's the reality. Barack Hussein Obama is a tough, tough sell to most non-black, Christian Americans. Think about it: What red state is Obama going to bring into the blue column?

If you love John Edwards vote for John Edwards. John Edwards can still easily win the nomination, and, more importantly, John Edwards can win in November.

By the way, here's a link to the mission statement for Obama's church:

Make up your own mind, but Rush, Rove, and the rest of the GOP attack dogs are licking their chops. He has never been in a political dog fight with those kind of hitters and I am just not sure he's up to it.

There is a ton to admire about Obama, but it is simply risky to make him the Democratic nominee this time.

    John Edwards 2008!

  3. Do not give up and vote for Hillary as the status quo. Do not hope that Obama can beat the Republican nominee. The media blitz for these two candidates has been playing into the Republicans hopes of retaining the White House for another four years. Nevada can make the difference this year!!

John Edwards has consistently shown that he has the biggest statistical advantage over all of the Republican candidates. John Edwards can win the national election, ensuring that this will not be a repeat of elections of 2000 and 2004. Do not inject doubt into the election by nominating an barely electable national candidate.

Caucus for John Edwards this Saturday and make him the front runner!

  4. John Edwards is the candidate who genuinely cares about people, and understands the urgent need to bring change to help them. He has worked tirelessly to raise minimum wage, and was successful at both a state level and national level. I do not think most people know how much this man has done to strengthen unions. Edwards owes nobody, and will get the job done for us if we elect him. Edwards always scores the highest in head to head match ups agains the likely republican candidates. Find out more about John Edwards before you caucus. If you do, you will surely caucus for Edwards!
