Las Vegas will be the third stop on George Michael's first North American tour in 17 years. The 44-year-old British pop star, more notorious in the past decade for his tabloid-tantalizing exploits than for his music, will play the MGM Grand on June 21.
The first batch of tickets will be available on Tuesday via Apple's iTunes Store; Ticketmaster will be selling tickets beginning April 6.
Michael toured 12 European countries last year, performing for 1.3 million fans. On April 1, he'll release a two-CD, 29-song greatest-hits compendium called "Twenty-Five." It includes 15 tracks that appeared on Michael's previous double-disc hits compilation: "Ladies & Gentlemen: The Best of George Michael," released in 1999.
Interestingly omitted in light of Michael's scandal-prone recent history: "I Want Your Sex" and "Kissing a Fool," are absent from the track listing.
