Lady sings, the boos:

When headliner Diana Ross opened the $2 billion new Palazzo casino last week, nobody seemed to mind too much that she sang to pre-taped tracks instead of an orchestra. Or that the two large video screens flanking the stage were turned off during her set, at the R&B star's command.

When Ross pulled the same diva-tude at the 11th annual Air Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival in Montego Bay, the audience was not taking it sitting down. Diana Ross went through multiple wardrobe changes, but the crowd of 40,000 fans--who had forked over up to $307 each--turned angry, booing and jeering when they found themselves unable to see her.

"Wi come fi get leg and thigh and dem gi wi chicken back," one let-down patron told JamaicaGleaner.com. Ross was reportedly paid $300,000 for the gig.
