February forecast: funny

Every February, the winter blahs known as SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) reaches its peak (or hits bottom) for millions of people. But Las Vegans

will have something to smile about: The shortest month is shaping up as a standout for stand-up.

In addition to the long-running laughmakers already in town, a gang ofTV-famous comics hit town next month.

By now, you’ve heard that Jerry Seinfeld is doing two days at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace (Feb. 1-2, tickets from $75). That same weekend, Drew Carey brings his Improv All Stars to the Hollywood Theatre at the MGM Grand (Feb. 1-3, from $89).

“Deal or No Deal” host Howie Mandel moves into the Hollywood Theatre at the MGM grand from Feb. 14-28 ($79). Acquired taste David Spade is set to play the Planet Hollywood Showroom (Feb. 15-16; he’ll be back March 14-25, April 11-12, July 25-26, August 30-31, Oct. 10-11 and 24-25, and Nov. 28-29; $89). Professionally cranky Wanda Sykes hits the Showroom Mar. 28-29 (also $89).

And at The Mirage, “King of Queens” star Kevin James will open for Ray Romano of “Everybody Loves Raymond,” and the longtime friends will do a Q&A with the audience after the shows, Feb. 15 – 16 and Feb. 29 – March 1 in the Danny Gans Theatre( $110).
