On the day a feature story ran in the Las Vegas Sun about the dance band Deja Vu, lamenting the fact that there are fewer places for older folks to dance, the band received notice its engagement was being cancelled.

"Station Casinos called me this morning and said we only had two more weeks," band manager Howie Newman said Wednesday.

The group had a longstanding engagement at the Red Rock Station, performing oldies music twice a week. Recently it was cut to once weekly.

"I don't know what we're going to do," Newman said. "All the casinos are cutting back wherever they can."
