According to Metro detectives, an early morning prescription drug robbery looks like this: Show up at the pharmacy at 7:30 am wearing a black jacket, glasses and a baseball hat slung low. Pretend to shop (or at least put some stuff in your cart, it appears the most recent reported robber did) and then approach the pharmacist's counter. Show the clerk a gun tucked in your waistband and threaten to shoot him in the head.
Working this way, a man was able to steal a supply of Oxycotin and Xanax from a business in the area of Tropicana and Rainbow on Jan. 4. He reportedly got the drugs, walked out the back emergency exit doors, and
right into a police press release.
According to the detectives looking for this guy, he also committed a bank robbery in December, wearing more or less the same outfit.
Incidentally, if you recognize him, police are interested. Call 828-3591.
