Metro police are making robbery a priority and issuing a public service announcement saying as much. Wednesday afternoon, detectives released the mugshots of five wanted robbers and details on what they did in the hopes that someone will call Crimestoppers (385-5555) with information on these people.

Here are the five wanted suspects Metro's criminal apprehension team is hoping to snag:

Louis Westry -- Wanted for felony robbery & felony home invasion. Westry reportedly robbed his ex-girlfriend in August, by kicking in her front door, beating her and stealing her social security money.

Ramon Ortega -- Wanted for robbery, first degree kidnapping and felony burglary, all with a deadly weapon. Police say Ortega and four associates robbed a jewlery store wearing ski-masks and wielding guns. Ortega and friends reportedly ordered the store owners and customers into the bathroom before tying them all up and stealing the jewelry.

Kristie Martin -- Wanted for robbery with a deadly weapon and grand larceny auto. Martin stole a car by approaching it's driver, lifting her shirt and revealing a gun. She then demanded his keys and stole the car.

Alexandria Nakano -- Wanted for attempted murder, robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery with a deadly weapon. Nakano and an accomplice targeted a man in a local hotel, shot him and fled with his keys and his car.

Rickie Berg -- Wanted for robbery with a deadly weapon, battery and felony burglary. Berg is an impatient robber. He allegedly hit a robbery victim over the head because she was taking too long giving him her watch. Berg had an accomplice and together, they robbed the woman of everything in her purse.
