Learn to DJ
With producer/jocks such as Martin Garrix and Danny Avila hitting the nightlife lottery before being allowed to play the actual lottery, it’s never too early to learn the DJ craft. What’s most interesting about the Clark County Library District’s new twice-weekly class for would-be record slangers is that it appears pupils can, in fact, slang records, as promotional materials mention turntables and the instruction of “scratching and mixing”—the latter a skill missing from far too many adult DJs. Thursdays & Tuesdays, 3 p.m., free (ages 11-17).
