One Silverado High School student was injured Tuesday and another arrested after an altercation on campus involving a weapon, possibly a knife, school police said.
Clark County School District Police Lt. Bryan Zink said that the altercation was between two girls in a bathroom. He said the injured girl had a laceration on her hand and was taken to a hospital out of an abundance of caution. The school was briefly put on soft lockdown.
The suspect, whose age was not given, was apprehended without incident by the on-campus police officer and taken to the Clark County juvenile detention facility, Zink said.
