Shandon Matheson had three straight rushing touchdowns to open the scoring tonight for the Moapa Valley football team in a 49-15 victory against Mater East.
Matheson also scored on a 46-yard screen pass from Talon Schraft, who completed 7 of 14 passes for 127 yards and two scores. Tyson Redd had a touchdown reception and Brody Redd added a touchdown run.
“It was pretty workmanlike,” coach Brent Lewis said of the performance. “It was good to see us come out and play with intensity.”
