Mason Dew passed for four touchdowns and rushed for another tonight for the Foothill football team in a 33-6 playoff win over visiting Durango.
One week after losing to Basic, Foothill — one of the favorites in the Class 5A-Division II — showed it still has what it takes to be the last team standing.
“We just didn’t execute the other day,” coach Vernon Brown said of the loss. “We learned we had to play a little bit tougher. Basic played a great game; we have to give them credit.”
Tarrell Mack-Lovely, Devon Wake, Avant Gates and Dallin Bair each had scoring receptions for the Falcons, who next week host Faith Lutheran.
