Talon Schraft completed 8 of 13 passes for 121 yards and two touchdowns Friday night for the Moapa Valley football team in a 36-6 win over Democracy Prep.
Degan Jones caught six passes for 88 yards and two scores for the Pirates, which improved to 7-2 overall and 5-1 in Class 3A Southern League games.
Tyson Redd had four carries for 88 yards and a touchdown, and Shandon Matheson also had a rushing score.
Moapa Valley finishes the regular season next week against rival Virgin Valley in the Hammer Game.
“It’s a chess match for sure,” coach Brent Lewis said of games against Virgin Valley. “They are going to bring (some defensive pressure). It’s a matter of dealing with it.”
