Motorcyclist, 20, dies in morning crash at Summerlin roundabout

Metro Police said a 20-year-old motorcyclist died this morning after losing control and crashing near Flamingo Road in Summerlin.

Police spokeswoman Barbara Morgan said the crash happened at 3:25 a.m. near Flamingo Road and Granite Ridge Drive after the driver apparently lost control of his 2006 Suzuki motorcycle at a roundabout, Morgan said.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead on the scene, police said. No other vehicles were involved.

The Clark County Coroner's Office will release the victim's name after family members are notified.

The crash is the 61st traffic-related fatality in Metro's jurisdiction this year.
