A 29-year-old Las Vegas man suffered injuries Sunday night in a hit-and-run accident at Nellis Boulevard and Desert Inn Road, according to Metro police.

The man, who was not identified, was transported to Sunrise Trauma with serious injuries, police said.

Officers said the accident occurred at 7:51 p.m. as the man was walking outside a marked crosswalk from the east side of Nellis Boulevard to the west side.

A 1996 Honda Civic was traveling north on Nellis Boulevard when it struck the pedestrian, officers said.

After the impact, the driver and the passenger of the Honda fled on foot, police said.

Police said the Honda had been reported stolen earlier in the day. The accident remains under investigation.
