A Las Vegas man died Thursday night after he lost control of a sports car in the rain and crashed, according to Metro Police.
The 32-year-old driver was headed east on Windmill Lane near Rancho Destino Road about 7:45 p.m. Thursday when he lost control and ran off the road, police said.
He hit a wall, a fire hydrant and a light pole and was ejected onto the sidewalk, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The crash remains under investigation, police said.
