Boulder’s Railhead becomes a buffet — but just temporarily

Only in Vegas would a popular music venue be turned into a buffet, even temporarily.

But check out the Railhead at Boulder Station, which has featured everyone from bluesmen Ronnie Brooks, Roy Rogers, Coco Montoya and Tommy Castro to jazz band Hiroshima and country legend Merle Haggard.

Now, you get fish and pizza and and spaghetti.

The popular Feast Buffet has been closed for remodeling and expansion (a doubling of the size) and so all those hungry folks had to go somewhere.

So, the executives chose to move the music until the restaurant renovation is complete, probably at the end of October.

Then, everything will be back to normal, they say.

Meanwhile, all of the acts that would have performed at the Railhead have been moved to other Station venues. Go to boulderstation.com to check out the locations.

One of the most popular events at the Railhead - the free Thursday Boulder Blues Series, is being moved temporarily to the Ovation Lounge at Green Valley Ranch.
