Why can't we fix our immigration system?
The only fact on which everyone agrees is that the issue will not be easily fixed. Immigration is a complicated topic, and one that affects the public education system, health care and the economy as a whole. While most agree that reform is necessary, the ramifications of the proposed programs are shaky at best. Some advocate guest worker programs that would allow immigrants to work temporarily. Opponents suggest this is a form of amnesty.
