Water rates are going up. The question is: who will pay for the bulk of the hike? The Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce says businesses are already drowning in red ink. But residents are underwater, too. We'll hear from advocates on both sides. Plus, will the water authority be back for more once this pool of money dries up? We'll ask water boss Pat Mulroy about that and more.

  1. You displayed average water rates for a number of communities, including Reno. The average rate in Reno is $40/mo? Really, sir? Looks like a typo to me, or is it data based on the thousands of rentals?

    I'm a flat rate water use w/ a one inch line. I pay $145/mo.

10 years ago I was paying something like $70 with a 3/4" line. I think you should scrutinize your data source as carefully as you scrutinize many of your guests!
