Vincent Daswell underwent gastric band surgery to improve his health. Before the surgery he weighed up to 380 pounds and suffered from medical problems including Type II diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and sleep apnea. At one point, he was taking multiple injections of insulin plus dozens of pills a day. Now, he's drastically reduced the number of pills he's taking, and the cost of the drugs for his obesity-related problems has been reduced by about $7,000 a year.
