The most recent John McCain campaign ad shows John McCain wearing the Naval uniform of a Captain. How Did John McCain attain the rank of Captain? When he was shot down and taken prisoner his rank was lieutenant junior grade. Five and one-half years later and he was a Captain. How is that possible? If McCain's father and grandfather hadn't been flag officers, John would have never been accepted into the Naval Academy and with his poor record there, he never would have been accepted for flight school. Must be great to have juice. Kind of reminds us of the story about George Bush and the Texas Air National Guard.
