A 10-year run on the Strip deserves a special celebration, and the stars turned out in force for George Wallace’s milestone at the Flamingo over the weekend.

Jerry Seinfeld flew in from New York to join the Friday night festivities. George and he were roommates in Hell’s Kitchen in New York City back in the early struggling years of their careers.

Donny & Marie Osmond, who have the early show in the same Flamingo showroom (the Donny & Marie Showroom) returned to present George with a birthday cake that was topped with his trademark “I Be Thinkin’ ” hat.

Before the anniversary show, friends enjoyed a VIP reception at the new Mexican restaurant Chayo in the adjoining Linq entertainment district.

Las Vegas celebrities Terry Fator from the Mirage, Frankie Scinta from the D Las Vegas downtown and Murray Sawchuck from the Tropicana joined George onstage during his comedy set. Jerry walked onstage to interrupt George and Terry with his own humorous ad-libbed salute.

Later, Gladys Knight and Bubba Knight received a standing ovation for their impromptu performance of “Midnight Train to Georgia,” and Mo5aic had the audience members on their feet again when they closed the show. Our thanks to Gabe Ginsberg of Vegas Kool for his photo gallery of the celebration.

George’s current contract runs out this year, and he hasn’t yet determined his plans to either renew at the Flamingo or move back to the East Coast. Whatever he decides, we know that he will always be thinking.

Congratulations, George, and here are champagne wishes for many more years!
