My thanks to Flamingo headliner Donny Osmond, Mirage headliner Terry Fator and former Flamingo headliner George Wallace, who are three of the first Strip stars to pen words of wisdom in guest columns we’ll post once I begin my annual trip to Italy in July in one week.

No peace, though, on vacation as it looks as if I might get caught up in the George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin wedding craziness following their April 22 engagement.

The Oscar-winning actor and heartthrob is planning to marry his British lawyer fiancee at his Lake Como home, but this week new regulations were enforced to punish paparazzi and gawkers getting near his luxurious villa.

Until Sept. 30, it’s now a major offense to hover near his home, swim in front of it and stop at its gates. Mayor Roberto Pozzi says first-offense fines will start at $700 and increase upward.

I’m hoping that it’s all subterfuge and that they’ll marry at his other villa in Cabo San Lucas so that I get some peace and quiet in Italy!
