“X Burlesque” marks the spot — the 12-year spot!

As the “X Burlesque” Girls get ready to celebrate their 12th anniversary at the Flamingo, they learned that execs there have re-signed the production through to 2016.

On Friday, husband-and-wife producers Matt and Angela Stabile will receive an official proclamation marking Feb. 7 as “X Burlesque Day.” Angela is planning an anniversary party for later this month.

I asked her if anything big had ever gone wrong in the 12-year run with the dancers or an overeager audience member.

“We've been very fortunate in 12 years we’ve had to cancel only one show due to the main curtain getting stuck halfway through the show,” she told me. “A few audience members throughout the years have been a little too enthusiastic! They try to walk onstage, backstage and try to hold a drunken conversation with the comic.”

Keeping a high-energy topless show running smoothly for 12 years means always updating routines and dancers.

Angela told me: “We’ve been super lucky in finding the right dancers to be an ‘X’ Girl. We’ve been around quite a while now, so we have a great reputation. And many times dancers come to us, and we don’t even have to hold auditions.

“Sisters Meeka and Shakeera Onstead have been with us since the beginning. Many fans come back to especially see them. Meeka is known for her acrobatic ability and amazing pole tricks. Shakeera’s ‘Crazy Bitch’ solo is an audience favorite!

“We thank God for our success and are looking forward to another 12 years. We have three sexy topless revues now (‘X Burlesque, ‘X Rocks’ at the Rio and ‘RAAck and Roll’ at D Las Vegas), all different yet all the same in the way that they feature beautiful, talented girls.

“We are excited about the possibility of creating even more shows in the future! Having the most provocative shows on the Strip, we can look back at every moment with enjoyment and look forward to many more ‘X’-cellent years.”
