Since checking into their Planet Hollywood home over the weekend, the gorgeous glamour girls of the 2013 Miss USA Pageant haven’t stopped for a moment. It’s been a whirlwind of wardrobe fittings, makeup sessions and photo and TV filming shoots.
Then hardly stopping to breathe to switch wardrobes and high heels, it’s been swimsuit shoots at the pool and glamour pinup posing throughout the hotel. TV cameras followed them on their fun visits to meet Rio headliner magicians Penn & Teller and female impersonator Frank Marino and his “Divas” at The Quad.
Miss Kentucky USA Allie Leggett, Miss Connecticut USA Erin Brady, Miss Montana USA Kacie West, Miss Arizona USA Rachel Massie, Miss Florida USA Michelle Aguirre and Miss Iowa USA Richelle Orr were photographed with the amazing look-alike showbiz stars.
This year, controversial photographer Fadil Berisha, who has made headlines with his previous sexy lingerie shots, has chosen a 1920s “Great Gatsby” theme for his portraits this year. Our Miss Nevada USA Chelsea Caswell, a manager at Andrea’s in Steve Wynn’s Encore, is stunning in her new look.
Monday was their official first day out on the town with the pots-and-pans music session with Recycled Percussion at The Quad. Miss New Hampshire USA Amber Faucher showed off her flair bartending skills with the guys at The Quad’s Catalyst bar, with TV cameras capturing all the amazing action and some misadventures.
The gorgeous girls are spending two weeks touring, filming, rehearsing and coping with the crucial judges’ interview sessions before the NBC telecast of Donald Trump’s pageant June 16 at PH Live in Planet Hollywood.
Chelsea introduced me to her roommate, Miss Alaska USA Melissa McKinney, and also to Miss Oklahoma USA Makenzie Muse. I asked Makenzie how her family and she have been affected by last week’s tragic tornados in her state. She told me that one had touched down and done damage in her hometown but that she had flown here before the inbound storm.
Today, country singer Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill at Harrah’s plays host to the contestants, who re-create the look of country stars with five iconic hairstyles. The crowd working with a CHI professional hairstylist will choose the winner before they all go line dancing.
