Quarterback Colin Kaepernick of the San Francisco 49ers, who has quickly become one of my favorite NFL quarterbacks -- sorry, Philip Rivers and my San Diego Chargers -- did a little shopping during some down time over the weekend as a presenter at the 2013 Academy of Country Music Awards at MGM Grand Garden Arena on Sunday.

The tall and tattooed athlete, whose team finished runner-up to the Baltimore Ravens in Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans in February, shopped at CRSVR in The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. His shopping bros were Ricardo Lockette, 49ers wide receiver, and Eric Nagrampa, aka DJ E-Rock.

Kaepernick purchased Nike Air Force 1s, Hall of Fame Hats and a CRSVR x Mitchell & Ness Capsule collection, none of which he wore to the awards. Am I officially creeping him now? While on the 2013 ACM Awards red carpet, Kaepernick fielded questions about his QB predecessor Alex Smith from Editor at Large John Katsilometes. (Smith is now with the Kansas City Chiefs.)
