Motley Crue rocker Vince Neil has set Friday, April 13, as the official grand opening of his new strip club Girls, Girls, Girls. “I probably shouldn’t tempt fate with a Friday the 13th opening, but why not? This is rock and roll,” he laughed.
The Las Vegas resident over the weekend had a soft opening at his adult club opposite the Orleans and in the former home of Deja Vu, and he’s working on all cylinders to ensure that everything will be set for his red carpet night. “I … am getting ready to invite a whole host of rockers and friends,” he added.
Vince has tricked out the 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. topless joint with rock and roll memorabilia, posters, photographs and guitars. After he arrived on his motorcycle, he said, “Let’s just keep it here in the lobby!” He’s put in his own VIP room, and he’s taken down the old DJ booth and is in the process of turning it into another VIP room with one-way glass.
The new DJ booth is in place centered along a sidewall and a long bar with HD TVs for nonstop rock music videos. “The one thing you will hear is rock. The one thing you won’t hear is hip hop,” he said. “We are the only club in Vegas that plays rock and has dancers who look and act like rocker chicks right from a video.”
Contributing photographer Tom Donoghue miraculously managed to keep focus for our photo gallery as he competed with a reality TV crew already filming Vince at work running his new club. We posted an interview with Vince about Girls, Girls, Girls last Wednesday.
“It is a dream come true. I don’t know why I waited so long. It’s just a natural for me,” Vince told me. “I’m really excited about it and working really hard on it.
“We’ve already added several new design elements I came up with, and it’s changed the look and feel of the place. Give us another three weeks to the official opening, and this will all be fantastic.”
On Tuesday, Vince will be in L.A. for the expected joint announcement by Motley Crue and KISS for their three-month summer tour starting July 19 -- complete with a stop here in Las Vegas. (KISS by Monster Mini Golf opened here in Las Vegas last Thursday.)
