Caesars Palace headliner Matt Goss joined Caesars Palace President Gary Selesner and Senior VP of International Marketing Jon Jaggers for the colorful lion dance parade Saturday heralding the Year of the Dragon as part of the casino resort’s Chinese New Year celebration.
Cast and crew of the Wynn water spectacular “Le Reve -- the Dream” celebrated their 3,000th performance at Surrender in sister property the Encore. The group posed for photographs with a three-tier, “Le Reve”-themed cake. Also at Surrender: fashion designer Christian Audigier, Flavor Flav and resident DJ Lil Jon. Lil Jon also partied with friends at Tao in the Venetian.
Ryan Vezina of Recycled Percussion at the Tropicana watched “Absinthe” at Caesars Palace and hammed it up with the cast post-performance. Motley Crue’s Vince Neil and Pantera’s Vinnie Paul watched Aaron Lewis’ performance at Red Rock Resort following sold-out shows at Aliante Station and Green Valley Ranch. Aaron added the third show due to strong ticket demand.
Talib Kweli of Black Star made a guest DJ appearance at Insert Coin(s) Videolounge Gamebar downtown and received raves from rapper Coolio. Kid Rock, in town for two sold-out shows at House of Blues in Mandalay Bay, dined in Lavo’s private room with UNLV alumnus and Food Network star Guy Fieri.
Also at Lavo for dinner and dancing: “Breaking Bad” star Aaron Paul and, separately, J Cole capping off a birthday-celebration weekend as a life-sized gold Buddha delivered a magnum of Veuve Clicquot. Celebrating a birthday at Lavo: the Gazillionaire, master of ceremonies of “Absinthe.” Castmates Angel Porrino, Melody Sweets and Penny Pibbets joined him, and he was presented with a birthday cake from Gimme Some Sugar.
Comedian Bob Saget, in town for two performances, dined at Joe’s Stone Crab and enjoyed sea bass, a shrimp cocktail and stone crab.The fabulous felines of “Fantasy” at the Luxor partied at nearby LAX. The girls received VIP treatment in recognition of their 12 successful years performing on the Strip.
