Two extraordinary nights of legendary rockers: Crosby, Stills & Nash and the Eagles make for a magical Music Hall of Fame weekend. Add the return of “America’s Got Talent” winner Michael Grimm to the mix and the splash of DJs Tiesto and Pauly D at competing summer pool openings, and it’s a guaranteed fun weekend under the hot desert sun. Bring water to combat the heat and lotion to fight the sun.

Our hometown hero Michael starts his new weekly residency Saturday in Ovation at Green Valley Ranch, where he first gained recognition before winning Season 5 of “AGT.” He’ll also perform at Aliante Station on several Friday nights during the summer. I interviewed the soulful fedora-wearing singer when he opened at Donny and Marie Osmond’s Flamingo theater during Christmastime. Michael will perform a 90-minute show with his band; I’m hoping he sings “Champagne and Wine” from his new 13-track album.

Then the ultimate DJ duel in the desert as the last of the pools open for the summer season. “Jersey Shore” star DJ Pauly D has rapper Pitbull appearing with him at the season start of Rehab at the Hard Rock Hotel. Although friends, his DJ rival Tiesto kicks off his residency at Encore Beach Club with model beauty and 2007 Playmate of the Year Sara Underwood, just named Esquire’s Hottest Woman of 2012.

Please support the Animal Foundation’s 9th Annual Best in Show at the Orleans Arena on Sunday. Flamingo magician headliner Nathan Burton, “Peepshow” star Holly Madison and yours truly will host. Fifty canines in need will compete in the American Kennel Club-style dog show to charm hearts of the audience in several categories. Pups with the most crowd applause will advance to compete for the title of Best in Show. Even though there is only one winner, all hounds will be available for adoption after the show.

So as the town actually goes to the dogs, let’s bark out loud this week’s Royal Robin Rundown. Woof! Woof!
