NBA legend and superstar Michael Jordan plans a first-ever win at his 10th annual celebrity invitational golf tournament in Las Vegas over the next four days but admits that he can only achieve his goal if his partner comes through for him.

Michael hosted a Q&A on the 9th hole with media this morning at the prestigious Shadow Creek Golf Course in advance of the tournament, which features some of the greatest names in sports and entertainment. Thanks to contributing photographers Tom Donoghue and Erik Kabik and videographer Richard Corey for their coverage.

It all kicks off tonight with a gala at Haze at Aria. Actress and singer Christina Milian, actor Chi McBride and R&B singer The Dream host and entertain at the Jordan Brand-sponsored party.

Here’s the alphabetical list of the stars expected to attend the party and play on the course: Marcus Allen, Jonathan Antin, Gabriel Aubry, Brian Baumgartner, Jerome Bettis, Drew Brees, Sophia Bush, Brandi Chastain, Chris Chelios, Larry David, Richard Dent, Shannon Elizabeth, Julius Erving, Janet Jones-Gretzky, Wayne Gretzky, Ken Griffey Jr., Bill Guthridge, Penny Hardaway, Hill Harper, Dennis Haysbert, Brett Hull, Toby Keith, Jana Kramer, Toni Kukoc, Spike Lee, Mario Lemieux, Greg Maddux, Danny Masterson, Paul O’Neill, Michael Pena, Mike Piazza, Maury Povich, Salli Richardson, Stuart Scott, Bruce Smith, John Smoltz, Alan Thicke, Chris Tucker, Winky Wright and more.

Eva Longoria hosts the celebrity dinner tomorrow at her restaurant Beso at Crystals. There also will be a first-time Tweet-Up at Sirio at Aria to introduce the new Cafe Menu there.

On Friday night, Jamie Foxx headlines for Michael at the glittering Aria dinner with his hits, including the new Best Night of My Life CD, plus performances by comedian Kevin Hart and Monte Carlo headliners Jabbawockeez. Funds raised from the golf event and dinner benefit Nevada Cancer Institute, the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Charlotte Bobcats’ Cats Care and Michael’s James R. Jordan Foundation. Since 2001, the tournaments have raised more than $5 million.

The Celebrity-Amateur tournament, which pairs one star with four amateur players, takes place tomorrow and Friday. The two-person, 36-hole scramble format tournament for celebrities is Saturday and Sunday, with Michael handling the charity checks presentation at end of play Saturday and winners’ awards Sunday.

This is the first time that Shadow Creek, one of the world’s most exclusive golf courses, has been opened to the viewing public. MGM Resorts VIPs, high rollers and guests have previously only seen it. VegasDeLuxe.com will have daily coverage of the stars on the greens and at the private parties, so check back often from now through the weekend.
