Hollywood bombshell Carmen Electra wowed and dazzled with her 30-minute burlesque show to officially open Robin Antin’s Pussycat Dolls Burlesque Saloon at Planet Hollywood early this morning.
Carmen first purred and posed provocatively on the red carpet at Gallery Nightclub at midnight dressed in a stunning Stella & Jamie with Christian Louboutin stilettos, while Robin wore a white Les Pommettes gladiator-themed mini-dress, Giuseppe rhinestone-studded heels and a Chanel belt and clutch.
An hour later dressed in amazing, curve-hugging costumes, Carmen exploded onto the stage. With six of the sexiest dancers behind her, Carmen took control of center stage -- nearly perched onto the jam-packed crowd -- with her first dance routine on a chair. Neither the chair nor the audience will ever be the same again!
Photographer Scott Harrison somehow managed to steady his camera long enough for an amazing close-up gallery, and thanks also to steady-as-she goes Richard Corey for his YouTube videos.
The actress and Playboy cover girl sent temperatures sky-high as she bent her body into every conceivable physical workout. “We started rehearsing on Thursday,” Robin told me. “She worked incredibly hard at it, and it paid off as one of the best star striptease performances I’ve ever seen. I am so proud of her, and she was perfect to open the new Vegas club.”
The mesmerized crowd went wild with cheers and a flood of flashes from digital cameras and cell phones. Carmen proved to be the vivacious vixen wearing sexy, over-the-knee black boots and sparkling fishnets. She danced with the Las Vegas Pussycat Dolls to “Don’t Cha” and “These Boots Are Made for Walking.”
The action didn’t stop for a second. It was onto the stripper pole, while one of the dancers soared in a sexy swing and another rode a carnival horse. Even the bartenders and shot girls joined in the platinum party atop the bar counter. Then it was the furious finale with Carmen writhing in a rhinestone-studded bathtub. The bathtub will never be the same again, either!
Carmen was all smiles as she talked about returning to the Pussycat Dolls scene: “Vegas is the perfect place for the Pussycat Dolls, and the Pussycat Dolls Burlesque Saloon is absolutely beautiful.”
Also walking the red carpet was Nick Cannon, new father of twin son Moroccan Scott and daughter Monroe with wife Mariah Carey. Celebrating at the premiere were Caesars Palace headliner singer Matt Goss, his Dirty Virgins dance troupe, top British TV star Justin Lee Collins and Flamingo headliner illusionist Nathan Burton. Carmen received a 2-minute standing ovation after her striptease.
As the sizzling show ended, Robin thanked Carmen for helping to open the saloon, and Carmen excitedly exclaimed, “I am the first to christen the Pussycat Dolls Burlesque Saloon. I love being first!” The group moved onto the adjoining Gallery Nightclub, where they were surprised with a Sugar Factory cake. They partied into the early hours enjoying Dom Perignon.
Robin summed up: “I couldn’t have dreamed a better opening night. It’s all turned out better than I could have imagined. Carmen was sensational. The Pussycat Dolls were incredible. This is going to be one long-lasting burlesque party!”
