The second part of a two-prong effort by Monte Carlo headliners the Jabbawockeez to raise funds for the American Red Cross’s relief efforts for Japan’s earthquake and tsunami victims is their workshop “Move-Ology” today from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at the UNLV Student Recreation and Wellness Center.

As part of their new charitable foundation Wock As One, the Jabbawockeez donated proceeds from their 7:30 p.m. performance of "MUS.I.C." on Sunday to the American Red Cross. The turnout for Sunday’s high-energy performance was solid, and the Jabbawockeez received a rousing standing ovation at the end of the benefit performance.

“UNLV and the UNLV Student Recreation and Wellness Center are excited to host the Jabbawockeez for their second dance workshop. The Jabbawockeez not only offer an incredible opportunity to UNLV students and community members to learn their craft from the Jabbawockeez on a personal level, but the Jabbawockeez are also assisting in promoting our mission of providing opportunities to be physically active,” said Jason Owen, Recreation and Wellness marketing graduate assistant. “It has been an absolute pleasure working with the Jabbawockeez because of their commitment to enhance the community of Las Vegas.”

“Move-Ology” debuted at the UNLV Student Recreation and Wellness Center in February; tickets are $30 ($20 for UNLV students). Additionally, the Jabbawockeez have created a T-shirt for Wock As One that’s available online at jbwkz.com, with proceeds going directly to the American Red Cross.
