Hey jf, becareful what you say in here. According to johne, only dems can talk. If you dare, he will rip you apart. I get what you are saying Nancy. I was a Hillary hater. But now, I would much prefer her over Obama. I think she is power hungry, no offense, but I didn't think she would try to change the face of America.
Thanks Nancy. To be honest, I wrote johne off hours ago. He does give you dems a bad name tho. I went to a different story, but he followed me here. I guess I can understand what you are saying. We actually did have doubts where John's loyalties were in the past. To be honest, he wasn't my first choice. Was Obama your first choice?
I think Joe has seen the error of his ways. Hopefully he will walk to the light. We will take him on our side. We like people who stand up for what they believe in.
Well good morning everyone. Gee Johne, I missed so much from you and Patricia. You are right, I misjudged. I misjudged you both. I thought you were reasonable human beings. I thought this was a blog site where I could say how I felt and be challenged. What it is though is a bunch of hot headed babies, gloating over their win, with absolutely nothing to do but call people who don't agree with them names. No, I don't belong here. I will find a site where they have some intelligence. Ripping people to shreds, I will leave that to you. I am not stupid, nor am I a coward. I just have better things to do.
Patricia...could we actually have a conversation? I won't demean you and you don't demean me. I am pretty sure we are both adults. The unknown in itself breeds fear. Combine that with what he has already said he would do, and then what I have heard and read on Fox or in NewsMax, yeah, I am afraid. This economy and I for that matter, cannot afford higher taxes. Tell me honestly that you "know" for a fact he won't raise taxes. I know what he said. Do you honestly believe everything he says? Maybe that is what it all boils down to. We each have candidates because we believe in them, therefore you believe what they say. I do not have any confidence in what he says. I don't trust him. Maybe it is as simple as that. His ideals are so far from mine. I am a conservative. I believe in low taxes and less government. I don't think government can solve all of our problems by throwing money at them. I don't think there is enough money to fix all of our problems. I am old enough to know what a socialist country is. When he said "spread the wealth" around, that sent fear through the hearts of many a person. Barney Frank, Patricia? Do you believe he is a good man? I don't. I believe he was fiddling while Rome burned when it came to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Do you believe that the Democratic Senator with the $90,000 dollars in his freezer was using it as a savings deposit box? I wouldn't believe that if he were a republican. I think Ted Stevens of Alaska has to go. If they are crooks, they shouldn't be in office. I don't care what party they belong to. If they hurt or deceive the American people they should go. Anyone can make a mistake. I don't think these are examples of that. We seem to want to look the other way when they are on our side. I don't. I can only go on my instincts, and they tell me he will be bad for our country. That doesn't make me a racist, it just makes me afraid that this man is not honest, and I feel that and you don't. Ya know what? I pray that your side is right, for all our sakes!
You do have an answer for everything, so I guess there is no purpose in trying to get you to at least see that all of these things add up to something as far as we are concerned. He is your candidate, so you just dismiss them. I fear him, for many reasons, so I can't. So, now we can see why nothing gets done in Washington as well. Thank you for helping me get out my frustrations over the last two days. To continue seems pointless.
To be fair, I went back and read everything that I have said here. Not once did I call any of you a personal name. I referred to your side or your candidate. I did suggest you weren't intelligent enough to get my point John, and for that I am sorry. That wasn't nice.I would just hope that you would also be fair. I am passionate about what I believe in just like you are. Just because I don't believe the way you do, doesn't make me bad or wrong. Time will tell.
I would suggest that you are spewing very well yourself. You do not know me. But as I said before, when you have no other ammunition, you pull out racist or sexist. I have "toned" down a little, because it is another day. Some of the hurt and fear has subsided. But the determination to protect my rights and my country are stronger than ever. Your side usually tries to make the right seem uncaring about the poor and down trodden. Another ploy. I have never been wealthy, never will. I actually am one that would benefit greatly from some of the programs that Obama said he would put into place. But I do not believe I should just be handed money or opportunities because of my skin color, my sex, or my sexual preference. I do believe that it is the American dream to own a home. But I do not believe it is a right. We have gone away from hard work with the rewards that brings. Everyone thinks they are owed a living. I deserve what I work for, and I believe anyone can need a helping hand, and I have, but not a hand out without having to repay it in some way.
That's very tolerant of you Patricia, and you supposedly the party of tolerance. Perhaps you are not secure in your beliefs, and that is why you are so afraid of mine. I was angry and hurt yesterday, and I was sad. Sad because I am old enough to remember America in a way that no young person of today could understand. I have seen the shift over so many years. Some shifting needed to take place. In spite of how you try to label us on the right, I am not a racist. But I believe in equality. Your side believes in special rights. There is a difference. And until we meet in the true middle, this will never be accomplished. Your side pushes beyond the middle and tries to shove your point of view down our throats. We have no choice but to try to protect our views. We push back. And so the battle goes, pushing and shoving, and getting nowhere. And what is your answer, Patricia? Ignore the other side. Great communication skills.
