I cannot understand why people are do willing to part with tons of money to stay at the fancy schmancy hotel.I come to Vegas to play and that costs money. So I stay at the Riv because a room is just to sleep in, and the staff is way more friendly than upscale hotels/casinos. Yes, it might be a tad worn out, but it is so much fun. And if you have a casino host and play a lot, you get more offers than you could possibly use. I am going for an invitational slot tournament Sept. 19 with of course free room and good cash prizes plus the fun of just plain being there. Count me out of the Bellagio and Wynns. Don't need all that extra stuff. I can shop at home for a ton of money less and gamble that money which is my passion about vegas.
