The Durbin model indicating that SNWA's proposed pumping will have adverse environmental impacts is important information that must be considered in a fair administrative hearing before the state engineer. If this information is declared inadmissible on the flimsiest of reasons, there is an elevating alternative: state engineer rulings are subject to court review - all the way to the Supreme Court if necesary.

Just one more comment: Here's to the heros in this continuing soap opera. To Mr. Durbin and Mr. Katzer for having the sense to recognize the serious impacts of this project, and for having the courage to publicly say so. Sadly, I suspect that sooner or later SNWA will will find a model that pleases Pat and Kay.
