jbug,
You are correct, as an ordained minister you are more than free to provide counseling, PASTORAL counseling. However, to pose as someone entirely different is considered unethical. There is an actual psychological board that mandates ethical/legal requirements for those practicing psychology. It is there to PROTECT people from harm and injustice. And please, an "honorary" degree? That would be like calling myself a cop if I have gun, I stand up for justice, and have a long time history working with children in the hood. Maybe someone at Claim Jumper will give me a sheriff's badge to help me with my new image. P.S. A doctorate in psychology typically takes 4-6 years for a reason.
I have no doubt Ray Giunta has done amazing work during the course of his life - I've seen lives touched by his work. I've also witnessed first hand the devastating effects he has also had. I agree with Vegas1090 - Ray seeks fame and recognition and unfortunately at the expense of others. Claiming ignorance has got him off the hook way too much.
Thank you to those who were diligent enough to expose him. You are helping protect people in the future by raising awareness of his patterns and history.
