Senator Reid's seat isn't nearly hot enough!

These telecoms broke the law. The fact that the gov't told them to do it doesn't make it any less illegal. Note, please, that some companies, such as Qwest, declined to break the law. Note, also, that the telecoms were richly rewarded for breaking the law, and when the government fell behind in paying its bills, the telecoms stopped turning Americans' private information to the government. This has nothing to do with patriotism.

Nevadans, please tell Senator Reid that breaking the law should have consequences, even if you're a huge corporation and contribute gazillions to a certain Senator's campaign funds. If the telecoms acted in good faith, let them show that in court, just as any ordinary American would have to if they were accused of breaking the law.
