As long as the employee has a doctor's medical certificate that justifys her being away from the office then you cannot fire her. Whether she is gov't or private industry.

I am 52 and wouldn't marry one of my boyfriends because he was 65. I didn't even think it would work with him being that much older than me. As a Black Woman, this incident makes my incident at the Henry Restaurant with Cameron the Manager look tame. Cameron the manager of the restaurant wouldn't take ownership of a racial incident. He played it off that his employees wouldn't treat me any different than any other customer. Really!! The treatment I received there made me very emotional. Cosmo employees need diversity sensitivity training for sure. A company can say they are pro this and pro that but if you don't practice it; it doesn't mean a thing. It's just words and no action behind it.
