will obama be any more effective than bush?
macain has the jawbone to do the job.
You certainly can't say that george bush was an ineffective president,
when 9/11 occurred he jumped in, got rid of hussien, invaded iraq and afghanistan,
threatened north korea, iran, stood up to russia,
and when the crash occurred he jumped in doing everything possible to rescue america from even the smell of weapons of mass destruction and the financial meltdown.
if obama becomes president, he will preside over a country going into a massive recession, lots of unhappy people who want quick answers, soon disillusioned by him there will be riots in cities, a dozen assination attemps and america will slip into dictatorship by necessity.
or it will be a new golden era of change for the change that changes every change and brings about a new change or something...ha.
I think george bush was your best president,
but then i'm an aussie so i dont care who you elect.
2008 symbolically, iconically, culturally even economically, sees the close of an identity, the identity of who the united states was stretching about 220 years from about 1789 to 2008.
A powerfull white english nation who perhaps reached its golden era under kennedy.
Obama represents the start of something different, or perhaps the beginning of the end climatically and socially of USA.
Carbon credits, renewable energy its all hype to the real reason behind climate change,
you cannot replace a trllion trees which had no thermal signature with a billion roof tops and a billion kilometres of highways which burn like a desert in summer and then blame global warming
on smog from a cars tailpipe.
Its immoral the arguement that carbon trading is the answer when plainly it is not the problem.
The science is wrong and agreeing with it because
its the new 'politically' correct thing to do is immoral. What we need is cool tar technology and nil thermal roof tops and to plant a billion trees.
If you cut down a trillion wind breaks what will the wind do? it will blow harder of course, hence more destructive winds. Cities footprints might only make up 3 % of land surface, but we are only talking about a few degrees temperature rise, the world was in balance, we tipped the balance.
Electric cars and solar or nuclear power stations will NOT stop global warming, ever.
Its the heat from the roads and rooftops.

ahh the expectation that this horse is unbeatable, its a certainty, its the favorite,
its going to win the cup, no question, no doubt,
its a given, absolute.
unless everyone who expects obama to win stays home and doesn't bother to vote since they expect him to win anyway?
this horse can't lose...er...i'm pretty sure....
