When my son was in high school in San Diego in the late 1990's, he had five to six hours of homework every night. He subsequently received an undergraduate degree from Cal and a law degree from UCLA, where he was editor of the Law Review. There's a lesson here folks: teach your children good study habits (no television, radio, ipod, telephone, myspace) and the correlation between academic success and a good life.

johnvegas: these are hardened criminals who just happened to "arrive here" from Mexico or Central America. Look into the eyes of the first two subjects. Do you really believe that some milk and oreos cookies would deter them if they wanted to "liberate" you from your capitalistic pleasures?

Mexico City style kidnappings are now endemic in Phoenix. Why should Las Vegas be immune? Fortunately or unfortunately, depending on your perspective, these criminals mostly prey upon their own. That fact alone should make vianey12 happy.
