You are wrong, Gibbons it the only one protecting Nevada families, jobs and businesses.
Guinn raised taxes 800 mil, and now we are short about 2.8 bil. The last legislature raised them again and businesses have to keep shedding jobs to survive. Gibbons is the ONE standing in the way of the tax and spenders. You must either be one of them of some sort of pubic employee trying to protect your 100-200k public salary

The million dollars is gone and has been a long time. It was a collection of $10,000 bills and they are worth about 100,000 each now, so in todays money, the cash was worth morth than the entire property
"MGM Mirage: CityCenter not affected by debt woes" - Ya right
what it really means is:
If I owe you a million dollars and I can't pay you - I have a problem
If I owe you 9 BILLION dollars and can't pay you - YOU have a problem!

A shame the community allowed him to be paraded all over town and down the strip a part of a political game. This was nothing more than a political statement about how much more important some are than others and a money grab statement to all the other departments and government entities. Good going sherif, You make the statement and I get the bill.
RIP OFF, the irony!
I hate to see it get to this, but sure have been waiting for it too.
I agree with observer, this property has never made money under any brand at any time with any management. I have no answers, I just know I it has never been successful.

BS - the house of cards on the strip is just like the house of cards in the neighborhoods - the debts will never be repaid.
