This is a piece of human garbage. He'll no doubt get his trial, be sentenced to 25 to life and then thrown in the can with other useless misfits of society. The taxpayers will be on the hook, feeding, clothing, housing and giving medical care to this scum for the rest of his life. We have to revamp our laws and get rid of this trash as soon as possible. He does not deserve to be a burden on society. There is no form of life lower than someone who would rape and kill an innocent child. A bullet for him is to humane. First cut of the parts, let him bleed a bit then shoot him!
My husband and I came out here 4 years ago so he could teach. (He came out of retirement to do so)
We were amazed at how tight all of the slots were out here. We are die hard slot players. Before moving out here we would gamble at a casino in Delaware. It was a truly rare event NOT to come home winners. Out here it's a rare event if you DO win!!! For God'sake give people a break and loosen the machines. If you had even one or two casinos that were loose, people would flock there. You could easily make it up by the volume of happy gamblers. If you'd spend less on those 99 cent store items you "give away," and more on letting the players win you'd be a lot better off.
My husband and I came out here 3 years ago. He came out of retirement to teach here. Casinos slots were tight then but you still had a shot a winning something and your money did last longer. Now it seems like they are all on the take. Worst of all is the new Cannery on Boulder. We went for the first time last night and there was NO way to hit on any machine. I am a hopper and go from machine to machine. Out of the possible 30 machines that I played not one gave a decent win. My husband plays the Wheel of Fortune slots quarters. 95% of the time there was no symbol in the first position. When he did get something it was cherries. The machine should be renamed "Chery Wheel of Fortune." We go to the casinos to have fun and expect to spend some money, not to be robbed!! Advice to all stay away from the Cannery on Boulder or just mail them a check and save the gas!

Nevada schools need major help, there is no denying that. My husband teaches here and most of the students are good and have the desire to learn. However, the teachers are being bombarded with more and more work that should be done by other departments within the school. A teacher's job first and foremost is to teach and not spend precious class time on extraneous matters that should be handled by others. Class size is another issue. With the district pinching every dime it can, it is no surprise that the classes are so large. They can't afford to hire more teachers with the current budget. Do you think class size is directly related to student scores? Bigger classes, lower scores. No individualized help for those who need it. I hope someone shakes things up soon.
