Sorry for the dbl post. I wanted to correct Sharma's name
It really hasn't been publicized much outside of Las Vegas. Yes, I saw the initial reports on Fox news and contacted my mom (a victim of Shadow Lane) immediately. However, none of my friends here in Los Angeles had heard about it. I hope that the letters going out to former patients find their way to everyone at risk. And frankly, I've got to assume patients from ALL of Desai and Sharma's clinics are at risk, not just those from Shadow Ln.

I too wonder why there were no whistleblowers. Even if these nurses, doctors, and other staff were in fear of losing their jobs, there is still NO EXCUSE for their conduct. They knew they were failing medical safety 101. At the very least, an anonymous call to the health dept could have saved thousands of people from this scare. Of course, their jobs would still be ultimately lost with the clinic closure, but that's ok by me.
For those of you affected: my hope that you will all test negative. I also hope that you will all run screaming to your lawyers and bury this company.
Exactly Snippy! The thought that unsuspecting patients were injected while ivestigators looked on for the sake of "the bigger picture" is mind boggling. So...they are writing these poor souls off as collateral damage because it serves the need of the community? Sounds like the investigative practices need a hard looking at as well.
My mother refused to see doctors in Las Vegas for over 30 years - always traveling to Santa Barbara for any illness or checkup. She finally gets up the nerve to start seeing LV doctors and what does she get for her trouble - heartache and an appointment to have bloodtests done thanks to her visit to Shadow Lane's house of horrors.
As others have said, this is criminal. We aren't talking some minimum wage tech making mistakes, but a blatant failure from the top down. Trained and board certified physicians cutting corners to save a buck on a half empty vial, not to mention the second allegation of improper cleaning of the endoscopic equipment. How much do you think they saved over the years? Tragic. I hope this company and these doctors are ruined.
