Too trusting - PLEASE! The level of pills he was prescribing was TOXIC! Anyone with half a brain could figure that out. It is his responsibility as a Dr. to JUST SAY NO! He had to know his patience were addicted, and in no condition to take personal responsibility for themselves. All they cared about was getting the next fix. He made it very convenient for them to do so, on a very frightening level.
I too know someone first hand who was over prescribed by this Dr. Their story ended tragically. This person most likely "doctor shopped" until she found the easy fill by Buckwalter. If he would have turned her away, there could have been a chance to break the addiction.
I wonder how many other lives he has ruined, or in the process of doing so? The best outcome here is that this Dr. looses his license.
Turn it in Buckwalter. Save your patience from yourself.
