What is sad here these thugs were allowed to plea to a lessor charge for taking the life of a human being. I guess its cheaper to plea than to ask for their life in prison or the death penalty in this case. I guess the victims family is happy with the DA office. Its a wonder why anyone lives in LV with a reported murder everu week in the LV Sun or LVRJ. This what turns tourist away. The neighborhoods and poliuce department need to work together to combat crime its sad 10 years for a life.
The last prison guard fired for watching a DVD in a tower won 350,000 from the NDOC. Lets ask how Skolnik the Director was told to get rid of one warden position down south by legislature and instead ignored them and split High Desert State Prison into two facilty to ensure his 40 year old buddy from Illinois can remain in a Warden position and call the other half of HDSP High Desert Corectional Center whos investigating this waste of tax payers money and ignoring legislatures. Where is the AG on this
This same situation happened in the Nevada Department of Corrections, when you complain on your boss be ready for the no promotion zone, retaliation and continued discrediting of your name. As long as people with power do what ever they feel is right until sued or opposed there will be retaliation in the work force as displayed in the NDOC.
There is no way out of this economic crisis without raising taxes. The taxes should be levied against the people and services visiting this state. There is plenty of options and its time not to be closed minded. There will be numerous low income people impacted and our seniors along with the disabled. We wont a gOvernor to lead not be at a sage grouse convention when this Stat needs leadership. Good news only one more year of him.

It's remarkable to see how selfish police and firefighter unions and union members are. When everyone else is making sacrifices at the State and local levels. The Clark County Firefighters and Reno Police department employees want a raise in these difficult times. Everyone sacrifices and some more than others. It time to put the community first and not ourselves. In good times the rewards are forthcoming.
