Yeah and I don't know what you've been reading, but Europe isn't going away from its socialism. While it has elected more conservative leaders, those leaders are acting within the "socialist" confines of the country. Even the vaunted Margaret Thatcher of England did not do away with the "socialism" of that country. Never once was National Healthcare EVER seriously considered to be axed. Trust me I've talked to a few Europeans, and it's considered a national birthrite to have healthcare. I also find it odd that the wealthiest country in the world is the only one without national healthcare AND it has the highest infant mortality rate in the western industrialized world. hmmm........
Yeah, I fail to see how someone can be a communist, socialist, and fascist in one, considering that two of those (communism and fascism) are mutually exclusive. Get the labels right before you throw them around, otherwise it just looks silly.
Yeah and republicans are so better aren't they neiman. Let's see how about we conduct a war AND cut taxes. I think high school econ kids could know better than that. Let's see how about we cut funding to the poor while cutting taxes for the wealthiest 2%. Good track there. Why don't we try to reverse a woman's right to choose and force abortion underground where I hear it will be safer, cheaper. Let's deregulate everything so the vaunted free market can sort everything out. Like cutting funding to the federal oversight boards that might have been able to stop the likes of Enron, who incidentally devoted far more money to the Bush campaign than to the democrats. Let's raise the minimum requirement on arsenic in the drinking water because God knows I've needed more of that in my diet.
Ooo, what about lying to go to war on multiple false pretenses and then covering it up when it doesn't work out. Or how about that bang up job he did with Katrina? Get it straight bub, the republicans have as much blood and dirt on their hands as the democrats. So trying to get all high handed saying that the dems have destroyed the country is just pure propaganda, because the last dem pres we had gave us a surplus, a strong economy, and respect in the world instead of just alienating any ally we might want.
wow points for redundancy....wow points for redundancy...wow. oh wait just clinging to guns and religion CAN be a bad thing. Let me think who else has been clinging to guns and religion during hard times...oh YEAH, al Quaida. Both items are not necessarily bad, but overreliance on them is. Anything can be taken too far. I back up what thebs and John said that these people are bitter at being promised the sun before election day, only to be left in the dark until another election comes around. this precisely plays into his message of change. He doesn't want to just promise things, he wants to follow through with them. I mean jeez is this the only thing in the hopper for you guys, or should we rehash some of the highlights of the current president...
Is our children learning?
[to the head of state of Brazil] oh, you have black people too?
I mean I can keep going...
oh what about how he's the Decider, and yet he couldn't decide for a full 7 minutes what to do when he heard that the US was under attack?
So please if you want to crucify someone for one phrase, then be prepared to reap the wind, because McCain has said things too.
Yeah that's nice, and there are checks and balances against congress as well. The point here that seems to be glossed over is that the administration consistently hides itself whenever it's accused of wrong doing. When the Abramoff scandal hit, many members of congress fell to that scandal. The administration consistently tries to hide its tracks. Eventually all of this cloak and dagger garbage will be revealed, whether in a court of law or in the history books.
I also don't think that the author of this article was denigrating McCain for being a POW nor did it mention that he played golf.
In fact the main point seemed to be that he did have it pretty easy in the Navy until he became a POW. He did his men proud, but the focus is that McCain had his officer's stripes handed to him. Obama has had to work to get everything. That's all, and no shame in pointing that out.
And yes, even when "winning" an argument, it's tactless to call those that you "out-manoevered" as losers. If you are representative of the republican party, I'ld say that the party of family values needs to relearn its roots.
Once again I must state that your voice must be very hoarse from shouting at your keyboard. Last I checked we debunked half the websites you post, because in the internet days anyone can post anything. So hearing from an uber-right wing post something someone wrote at sometime (verifiable or not) is nothing. Next we've found counterclaims on admittedly liberal and not so liberal sites that the various and sundry attacks against Obama have been lies by a right wing propaganda machine that only desires an oligarchy of the ueber right. Everyday their tenuous grasp on America slips as the people find more of their lies hashed and rehashed here and there.
So someone else can use the bombastic and flowery rhetoric I see all day. I mean half the stuff you write Makz sounds more like it came out of the Voelksischer Beobachter. Your blatant conflation of everything democrat as either liberal or socialist smacks of an ill-understanding of politics, because the left could mirror this entirely and label every right winger as a reactionary or a national socialist. But good democrats and republicans see the futility in constantly using weighted fear-wrought words to sway the public.
So in closing, half of a good debater is being able to concede a point. Quit acting like the right is infallible and the left is always evil, because people who can only see in black and white are very dangerous people indeed. The worst dictators of history only saw the black and the white and couldn't see the nuances in between. Their goal is only to be devisive, when currently America needs people to see past what divides us and use what unites us. Whoever wins in November we need to stand behind them.
Still looks like the debunked propaganda that got him in hot water for saying his racist, anti-non christian rants. This dreck is the same as the Ann Coulter dreck. It may have footnotes, but it doesn't make any truer.

McCain is up to the same thing too. I think it's stupid and pointless to get angry over who changes sides on an issue, because every politician does it.
