The Sun
Locally owned and independent for more than 50 years.

Does the Las Vegas Sun always engage in Yellow Journalism or has its writing staff just found that joining in on the wolf pack attacks against Mr. Davidovici to be too tempting to resist? I’m not going to try to paint Mr. Davidovici as an angel; I’m sure he would be the first to agree that his temper isn’t one of his best qualities. But that could be said of many other high-powered, high-profile pioneers of the Las Vegas casino industry and entertainment scene such as Steve Wynn and Sheldon Adelson, both of whom have a history of fiery displays of tempers that have sent shudders and chills up and down the spines of hotel presidents and casino executives alike. Men with such high-powered personalities and extraordinary determination are a driven breed who build empires, create employment for large numbers of people and, at times, create enemies who wait in the gutter for these giants to stumble or fall. One thing the gutter rats don’t realize is that these giants do get up afterward, brush themselves off and move forward, leaving the rats to wallow in their own sewage.
