White tigers are the result of severe inbreeding, mother to son, father to daughter, sister to brother. They are not a seperate subspecies of tiger. Many are born with birth defects such as such as immune deficiency, scoliosis of the spine (distorted spine), cleft palates, mental impairments and grotesquely crossed eyes that bulge from their skull.
